The kingdom of water

The retrieved 18 August 2010 dispatch describes the opening leg of Untamed New England as roughly forty miles of paddling, carrying boats, conservation work and an orienteering relay. It follows teams through the Connecticut River headwaters and describes the difficulty of moving watercraft along narrow, root-covered paths.

The work between the paddles

The account also describes teams building a bog bridge on the Cohos Trail and completing four different orienteering loops. Its interest is the mixture of disciplines and the effect of equipment choices on progress. The original capture preserves the full course narrative and its author’s observations; this numerical receiving address now identifies that specific report.
