An island made of changing terrain

The Hunter travels to an island under a curse, accompanied by an eagle. Meadows, misty forests, ruins, snowy tundra, and mountain summits give the journey distinct environments. The landscape combines places to cross with the remains of a civilization to investigate. Official Steam description

Puzzles and ruined structures reveal the island’s past. Corrupted spirits occupy its different domains, while spirit sight exposes information hidden from ordinary view. These features give exploration both a spatial task and a mystery without requiring the encounters’ outcomes to be disclosed. Official Steam description

Orientation comes from visibility

There is no conventional map or fast travel. The spirit mask marks explored ground and highlights distant points of interest. Its usefulness depends on what the Hunter can see, making a high viewpoint valuable for choosing a direction. Developer gameplay explanation

Height also provides a longer glide with the eagle. A viewpoint therefore serves two purposes: revealing more of the island and creating an opportunity to cross it. Reading a vista and leaving it become connected decisions. Developer gameplay explanation

The bow keeps momentum

Shooting floating talismans fills the dash meter and produces a small speed boost, including in mid-air. Linking shots sustains momentum, turning the bow into part of traversal rather than reserving it for encounters with enemies. Developer gameplay explanation

The eagle loses altitude while gliding, and flapping regains lift. Crystals collected through discovery increase the available flaps. Finding secrets thus expands a specific movement capability, giving exploration a consequence for later crossings. Developer gameplay explanation

Discover the island through movement

The Hunter’s archery, eagle companion, and spirit sight make several kinds of engagement possible in the same setting. A ruined temple can be a puzzle site, a forest a passage to explore, and a summit a destination reached through those movement abilities. Official Steam description

That variety gives the island a recognizable geography beyond its curse. The bow and eagle carry the journey through meadows, forest, and high country, while the ruins and spirits keep its earlier history in view. Movement and investigation remain connected throughout the fictional landscape. Official Steam description
